Taming the Lizard: Dealing Productively with Conflict

Why do some people or situations bring out our worst? Why do some people seem to look for conflict? Why are some people calm and composed even when challenged by people or circumstance? In this workshop, we’ll find out what happens to us when we’re faced with conflict and why we’re hard-wired to move into “lizard brain.” Participants will explore what they can do to prevent and respond more effectively with adversity and conflict.

Learning objectives

At the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  • identify how lizard brain hijacks our creativity and collaboration
  • tame their lizard
  • get other's lizards to take a flying LEAP
